While working toward her bachelor's degree in psychology, Ms. Male
interned at Farview State Hospital for the Criminally Insane in
Waymart, Pennsylvania. After receiving her master's degree in psychology,
Ms. Male worked as a protective services caseworker for Lackawanna
County Children and Youth Services for seven years before entering
law school. During law school, Ms. Male was an articles editor for
the Dickinson Law Review and authored "Suffer the Little Children":
An Analysis of Serious Physical Injury Under Pennsylvania's Child
Protective Services Law, 85 DICK. L. REV. 751 (1985). She also served
on the Appellate Moot Court Board, and has been a visiting judge
for that program since her graduation in 1986.
